Job Description:

As a Food Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons in Food Technology. You will inspire students to develop their culinary skills, understand nutritional concepts, and appreciate the importance of food technology in everyday life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that is engaging, challenging, and aligned with school standards.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic classroom environment, ensuring all health and safety regulations are met.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Relevant degree in Food Technology or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of the Food Technology curriculum and practical skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
