Warehouse Assistant – Full time
Our client, is a thriving small e-commerce business, specialising predominantly in the domestic & commercial heating sector. Cataloguing their entire product portfolio over leading e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, eBay and OnBuy with the addition of their own website.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To always work in a way that safeguards both your personal safety and the safety of others.
- Container unloading / handballing
- Picking and checking customers' orders
- You will be required to work alone at times
- Following delivery prepare items for sale
- Good time keeping and attendance levels essential
- Warehouse and facilities hygiene duties
- Loading vehicles safely for distribution
- Deal will customers at the trade counter
- Use computers to gain information and handle orders
- Taking payment when needed
ABOUT YOU:
- Excellent communication skills
- Adaptable and flexible to support all areas of the business
- You will have the ability to safely operate warehouse equipment including our pallet truck
- Ability to work in a small team and with minimal supervision to consistently to produce results that hit the targets agreed with our company
- You will have good numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to use the correct manual handling techniques as some heaving lifting will be involved.
- Enthusiastic work ethic with a willingness to improve and make a difference
- Ability to problem solve and think outside the box
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:
- Previous warehousing experience preferable but not essential, full training given
BENEFITS / HOURS
- Salary: Will be based on National Minimum Wage, however willing to review dependant on experience .
- Uniform provided
- Contract type: Permanent position
- 36 Hours Per Week: Monday - Friday, 8.30 till 5pm / Saturday 8.30 till 1.30 (when required to work Saturday time taken back in the week)
