Robertson Bell are supporting a sizeable and growing public sector organisation to recruit an interim Management Accountant on an initial four-month contract, to provide financial support on a portfolio of capital projects and programmes.
This role can be worked largely remotely but will require the successful applicant to be present in the organisations London office location bi-weekly.
The interim Management Accountant will be responsible for:
- Ensuring a portfolio of capital projects receive sound financial management with a particular focus on spend vs budget, and forecasting.
- Building relationships with Project Managers to provide robust financial support and influence decision-making when needed.
- Preparing Management Accounts with supporting commentaries and analysis.
- Reviewing and reporting on the performance of projects to stakeholders.
The interim Management Accountant will:
- Have recent experience providing financial support to projects, with a strong preference for capital projects within the public sector.
- Demonstrate the ability to influence non-financial stakeholders.
- Possess excellent communication skills.
- Be a competent user of MS Excel
