Role: Senior Operator/Operational Team Leader
Location: Wimbledon
Hours: Expected: Tuesday - Saturday; 07:00 - 17:00. Hours may be flexible, in line with the operation requirements (between 02:00 - 19:00 Tuesday - Saturday).
Salary: £27,000 -£32,000 DOE
A fantastic opportunity has now arisen for a Senior Operator/Operational Team Leader to join our client's successful team in Wimbledon.
About our client:
Our client is a new start up &, will commence trade June 2024, and will run a D2C (direct to consumer) model, receiving stock from their suppliers, packaging them into a customer order, and dispatching to the end customer, shipping the orders through their courier network.
About the role:
We are looking for an experienced operator, with a background in D2C operations, who has experience with inbound, putaway, pick, pack, dispatch and inventory management.
The role has scope for development into a team leader/shift manager role, as the business scales up and the team grows in size.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Receiving inbound stock from suppliers, confirming inbound quantities and report any discrepancies in volume or quality
- Putaway stock into a location within the cold room
- Creating pick waves based on daily volumes/order structure (i.e. customer order pick, bulk order pick)
- Picking the correct goods for the customer orders
- Inspecting goods for any damage or faults before they are packed
- Using warehouse machinery to move goods from inbound area into the storage area, and to outbound area
- Managing the consumables inventory level (boxes, ice packs, tape etc)
- Daily creation of boxes, ready for order fulfilment & outbound
- Labelling orders correctly and sorting by courier
- Loading orders onto courier vehicle
- Ensuring Health & Safety policies and procedures are following within the warehouse
What we would like from you:
- Experience in a warehouse environment
- Good reliability & time management
- Customer focussed, attention to detail & quality a must
- Team Leader/Shift Manager experience a plus but not essential
- Comfortable working within a small team
- Comfortable working within a chilled environment
- Working with machinery (forklifts, PPT etc) a bonus
