Speech & Language Therapist

Salary: Up £48,500 per annum, depending on experience 37.5 hours per week

Our client, a leading organisation in the healthcare sector, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech & Language Therapist to join their growing team. Qualifications and Experience:

  • A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy (BSc or MSc).
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Desirable: Membership with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
  • Additional certifications in neurorehabilitation or dysphagia management are advantageous.
  • Experience in evidence-based practice and clinical assessment.
  • Strong clinical reasoning skills and knowledge of relevant assessment tools.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work autonomously within a specialist clinical area, receiving support and supervision from a more senior Speech and Language Therapist for complex cases.
  • Apply the latest neurorehabilitation models, integrating current research findings and best practices into your work.
  • Manage a caseload of individuals with complex needs, employing evidence-based practices and service user-centred principles.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, considering the individual's environment and future plans, to create tailored intervention strategies.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make adjustments as necessary.
