We are seeking an inspirational Fire and Building Safety leader to head the Operational Fire and Building Safety delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead teams in Fire Risk Assessments, Preventative Maintenance, and Risk Actions.
- Oversee Building Safety requirements, manage Safety Managers, and lead remediation projects.
- Engage with residents on Fire and Building Safety.
- Manage Safety Data and Information teams.
This role reports to the Director of Building Compliance and involves collaboration with senior leaders to ensure compliance with safety regulations, deliver efficient operations, and manage budgets effectively.
The role includes procurement of specialist services and ensuring compliance with procurement processes. The successful candidate will directly manage Compliance Managers and Lead Building Safety Managers.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Senior leadership experience in the Housing sector
- Excellent communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of fire and building safety practices
- A degree or vocational equivalent with relevant professional body membership
- Preferably, a Level 6 qualification in Building Safety and/or Fire Safety
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- Practical experience in Operational Fire and Building Safety
- High computer literacy
- A full driving licence and daily vehicle access
