As a result of growth and expansion, a Temporary Accounts Assistant is required within the finance department of an exciting, global organisation to help support the needs of the business.
This would be an ideal role for a Graduate looking for their first opportunity within a financial capacity.
This role will be a 6-month contract and would suit a skilled individual who is good at multi-tasking and able to switch responsibilities and duties to ensure support is provided to ensure tight deadlines are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing coding and VAT treatment of purchase invoices in Concur and correcting where necessary
- Assisting with weekly payment run calculations, identifying vendors requiring payment
- Daily setting up of payment for operators, ensuring appropriate approvals are in place
- Liaising with other departments to ensure payments are received from clients
- Downloading and preparing daily finance reports
- Liaising with vendors to confirm bank details and deal with invoice queries
- Allocating payments to vendor invoices in Oracle & updating the payment tracker on a daily basis
- Assisting with bank reconciliation
- Reconciling the Age Creditors report & following up on past due items
- Reviewing credit card expenditure, checking VAT treatment and coding.
- Chasing card holders for missing receipts
- Handling general accounts inbox queries
- Assisting more senior members of staff, where requested
- Main systems used: Oracle, Concur, Pleo, Excel, HSBCNet, Stripe, Zoom, CampOps, Smartsheets, Outlook
Experience and Skills Requirements:
- Highly numerate with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
- Work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
