Year 3 Class Teacher

  • Job Type: Full-time, Maternity Cover (1 year)
  • Salary: Main Scale Pay 1-6, dependent on experience

We are seeking a dedicated Year 3 Class Teacher to join our team on a full-time basis from September, covering a maternity contract for one year. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated practitioner with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), who is committed to school improvement and achieving the best outcomes for all pupils.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and dynamic lessons to Year 3 pupils, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Develop creative approaches to overcome barriers to learning and foster a positive learning environment.
  • Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum, adapting to the needs of individual pupils.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding pupil progress and development.
  • Participate in school events and activities, contributing to the wider school community.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience as a class teacher, with a track record of delivering high standards of teaching.
  • A dynamic and creative approach to teaching, with the ability to engage and inspire pupils.
  • Strong commitment to school improvement and the success of all pupils.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
