Marks Sattin are working in retained partnership with the Bristol based charity 'Ara recovery4all' to recruit their new Quality and Compliance Manager.

Ara Recovery4all are a fantastic charity based out of Bristol providing crucial support and services to some of the most vulnerable people in the community. This year they have made a huge contribution to housing Bristol's homeless, providing support and treatment to those afflicted by alcohol and drug addiction, and helping individuals affected by problem gambling.

About the role

The Quality and Compliance Manager is a new role for the charity, reporting to the Finance Director the successful candidate will take ownership over a number of business-critical areas, maintaining standards and driving improvements.

This role will suit candidates with a demonstrable track record of managing company policies, legal compliance and business processes.
The role is based in Bristol with hybrid WFH options, paying 45k to 50k.

Key responsibilities include;

  • Supervise all business processes that involve compliance and regulations, including dealing with and being the point of contact for the regulators.
  • Carry operational audits to find gaps in the current strategies, which involve quality and or compliance following up on compliance issues that require investigation and rectify them as per the regulatory guidelines.
  • Taking timely actions to ensure compliance, both with national/local laws and internal policies of the company
  • Establish a Quality Management System, which provides a framework for setting and achieving measurable Q&C objectives which reflect our organisation's aims and aims for continuous improvement.
  • Advise internal management and business partners on the implementation of quality and compliance programs and developing risk management strategies.
  • Conduct regular GAP analysis on new and updated controls and best practices in the industry.
  • Monitor current policies and systems in place, ensuring they comply with legal and regulatory laws.
  • Oversee Ara's GDPR policies and practices and be the nominated GDPR Officer/Lead.
  • Oversee Ara's Health and Safety quality assurance systems.

Your experience

  • Demonstrable track record in managing policies, legal compliance or quality assurance within a business services environment
  • A natural interest in process improvements
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work across business units
  • High attention to detail
  • High proficiency in Microsoft suite
