A1 Personnel are currently recruiting for a Plant Fitter for a permanent contract on behalf of our client based in Basildon.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy plant machinery, including industrial vacuum cleaners, floor grinders machines, industrial sanders, etc
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults and take appropriate action to resolve them.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure machinery is in optimal working condition.
- Collaborate with other team members to plan and prioritize maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
- Delivering plant machines to various sites.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Plant Fitter or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Relevant certification or qualification in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
Hours:
Monday to Friday: 8am-5pm
