The company:
A small, family-ran construction company, focused on serving excellence in the residential and social housing sector. Due to growth, they are looking for a Health & Safety Manager to join their team in Enfield.
Your role:
- Administrative support on the Health & Safety team, compiling reports and updating records.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement risk mitigation measures.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety programs and policies.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and health & safety regulations.
- Provide safety training and site-specific inductions to all employees and contractors.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with clients, designers, and contractors to integrate health and safety considerations into all project stages.
- Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, incidents, and compliance activities, and prepare regular reports on safety performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH)
- Proven experience in a health and safety role within the construction industry
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
