Quality and Risk Manager

Our client, a leading consultancy, is seeking to hire a Quality & Risk Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC). This hybrid role requires three days per week in the office in The City of London and two days working from home.

We are looking for an experienced Manager to support quality activities, collaborating closely with senior members of the Quality & Risk team. The Quality & Risk Team is dedicated to maintaining the Client's integrity and standards, overseeing audit technical compliance, ethics, independence, system development, risk management, and inspections. Our mission is to ensure adherence to industry regulations and uphold our commitment to excellence and ethical practices.

In this global role, you will interact with Member Firms, key decision-makers, and the Client's global committees. You will share your expertise and innovate new methods to manage this critical aspect of our network.

Responsibilities include supporting Member Firms in implementing policies, procedures, and processes, monitoring activities, identifying and addressing knowledge gaps, and enhancing systems and procedures. You will regularly interact with senior leadership and executive personnel across Member Firms globally.

The role will expand as needed to address quality challenges as the network grows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to developing and delivering the Client network's Quality & Risk objectives
  • Project manage change management and communication of Quality & Risk initiatives
  • Enhance existing processes and procedures
  • Oversee completion of Member Firm actions from monitoring and remediation activities
  • Develop training and communication materials on quality matters and support training delivery
  • Create and distribute informative content on Quality & Risk issues to Member Firms
  • Manage Global committees, including agenda setting, material development, and action follow-ups
  • Create content and presentations for webinars and meetings
  • Collaborate with Member Firms, service lines, industry sectors, and geographies to develop strategies or programs to enhance knowledge and reduce non-compliance
  • Lead or support other Quality & Risk-related projects

Desired Experience and Qualifications

  • An ACA or equivalent qualification or experience working on global accounting firm compliance-related projects
  • At least 3 years of experience working in a compliance function or risk management function at a professional services firm
  • Strong analytical and interpretation skills with excellent attention to detail
  • A proficiency at driving projects to a close and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • To be an excellent team player
  • Previous experience of working in the development and delivering of training programs, is an advantage
  • Excellent MS PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Deep operating experience with strong process and controls knowledge and awareness
