Team Leader-Open Cover

Posted by Insure Recruitment.

A chance for a true leader to shine!

An exceptional opportunity is available right now for a natural leader to take the reins of a talented and high-achieving team and guide them to successfully discover even greater potential. If you're a results-orientated insurance broking professional with proven management expertise, then this is an unmissable chance for you to create something truly rewarding.

The company is a thriving regional-based firm specialising in the insolvency market, punching well above its weight commercially because it identifies, values, and nurtures talent. One of the UK's fastest-growing groups of insurance intermediaries, its mission is to offer an unmatchable, personalised service, focusing on robust and bespoke market-leading insurance and risk management solutions for a vast range of insolvency practitioners and property receivers. It has seen strong, organic growth and includes an award-winning in-house claims team.

Reporting to the operations manager, this permanent, full-time role will be based in the insolvency UK open cover and probate insurance team, managing three client advisors. Daily duties include liaising with clients to effectively deal with queries and identifying risk exposures against delegated authority scheme parameters.

As team manager, your goal is to help your team achieve ambitious monthly income targets. You'll be responsible for allocating and managing tasks and workload, as well as undertaking effective appraisals and monthly 1:1s. (You'll also be expected to maximise work efficiencies and update work processes and procedures.) You'll ensure the successful resolution of queries - liaising with delegated authority scheme underwriters, the firm's internal claims team and internal finance team - as well as fully updating senior management on your team's income position at all times.

You'll be in charge of your own bank of Open Cover cases, issuing timely and accurate documentation (often regarding larger, more complex cases), and generating monthly risk bordereau for insurers.

An excellent written and verbal communicator, to succeed in this role you'll need experience in commercial lines broking [and/or] delegated authority ideally in professional risks/property and casualty, as well as proven success in leading, motivating, and mentoring teams. You'll bring a proven ability to build professional relationships with insolvency practitioners or solicitor clients across the UK. Knowledge of using the Acturis broking system would be useful (but not essential).

As you would expect there is a highly rewarding salary and benefits package. The firm offers hybrid flexibility: three office-based days (Nottingham); and two working from home, employer-employee contribution pension, 26 days holiday plus an additional ½ day on your birthday and again at Christmas, life insurance and private medical insurance.

Reflecting their ‘people first' culture, the firm will invest heavily in you, supporting your training and further development.

At Insure Recruitment, we work with clients who are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace. So, if you're excited about this role but your past experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification or criteria in the above description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be exactly what we're looking for in this or other roles.
