Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Railway Track Operative on behalf of one of our clients.
To ensure all company controlled and contracted 3rd party infrastructure is installed & maintained in a safe and efficient manner and compliant with company track categorisation and inspection standards, MIE 0901.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain controlled and contracted 3rd party infrastructure in accordance with the relevant standards.
- Ensure the Method of Work and Risk Assessment is appropriate for the task to be undertaken.
- Report urgent safety related defects that may impede the safe operation of the customers' business to your line manager and / or the respective Operations Control.
- Undertake infrastructure renewals and new schemes as directed.
- Respond to emergency call outs for infrastructure repairs and derailments as required.
- Undertake other duties as directed by the Track Maintenance Manager or the track maintenance team leader.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Personal Track Safety (PTS) Desirable
- Track maintenance competence. Desirable
- Use of mobile plant etc.
- Hand held power tools.
- Full driving licence required.
- Issue of track inspection documentations.
