What You'll Do:
As a Court of Protection Caseworker, you will be integral in managing the financial affairs of clients who lack capacity. Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting, maintaining, and overseeing household and personal budgets for clients.
- Paying bills and organising contractors and third-party support, including therapists and care staff.
- Preparing reports and balancing accounts.
- Providing recommendations to the appointed deputy regarding financial requests, budgets, and changes in circumstances.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience managing household budgets, understanding investments, managing property sales and purchases, and arranging property works.
- Skills demonstrated through experience, not necessarily formal qualifications.
- Experience in roles such as charity or church treasurer, local housing officer, or bank cashier.
- Proficiency in Excel, budget setting and forecasting, project management, and life coordination.
- Exceptional communication skills and patience.
- A driving licence and access to a car for business purposes.
