Are you a Junior/Trainee Maintenance Engineer, apprentice leaver, ex-forces or similar with an electrical qualification looking for a varied, hands-on role where you will be continuously developed through shadowing and external courses, to become a fully-fledged Maintenance Engineer?
On offer is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive and forward-thinking manufacturer, where you can improve your skills working on a range of machinery and equipment.
In this role you will be working both mechanically and electrically on pneumatics, motors, gearboxes, bearings, and sensors for example, with plenty of continuous training given. This will be split by planned (70%) and reactive (30%) maintenance, including fault finding on machines and shadowing an experienced team.
Founded over 20 years ago, this manufacturer boast a turnover of over £30 million and have excellent growth plans for the coming years, looking to move towards an automated factory and expanding the team whilst doing so.
This role would suit someone with an electrical qualification and understanding of PLCs looking to progress their career in a varied, hands-on maintenance position where they will become a fully-qualified Maintenance Engineer.
The Role:
- Carrying out preventative (70%) and planned (30%) maintenance
- Working on a range of mechanical and electrical manufacturing machinery
- Fault finding on PLCs and three phase electrics, with training given
- Monday to Friday, 2pm - 10pm
- Overtime available and very occasional call outs when needed
The Person:
- Junior / Trainee Maintenance Engineer
- Electrical qualification (Apprenticeship, City & Guilds or similar)
- Basic understanding of PLCs
