We're seeking a skilled and dedicated Management Accountant to join our clients' dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in preparing accurate and timely financial reporting, especially around month-end, to aid in driving business decisions. The Management Accountant will supervise the Accounts Payable team and work closely with senior finance staff to ensure efficient and accurate financial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Month-End Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely month-end results, variance analysis, and commentaries.
- External Reporting: Prepare external reports, including Office of National Statistics surveys.
- VAT Returns: Prepare and submit VAT returns.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliations.
- Accounts Payable Supervision: Control the accuracy of the accounts payable function.
- Year-End Process: Assist with the year-end process and take a lead role in financial audits.
- Intercompany Reporting: Prepare and manage intercompany reporting.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction opportunities across the company.
- Additional Support: Provide support to other areas within the business as needed and undertake any other ad hoc duties appropriate to the role.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
Education:
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or equivalent.
Experience:
- Experience working with non-finance professionals.
- Strong analytical skills with high competency in data analysis using Excel and other reporting tools.
- Methodical and systematic mindset.
- Accurate, efficient, and organized with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work in a high-pressured environment.
