We are seeking an ambitious chartered Building Surveyor who is ready to step into a management role and contribute to our client's social purpose initiatives, including carbon reduction. Day-to-day of the role:

  • Lead a team of Property Condition Surveyors, ensuring the quality and safety of our customers' homes.
  • Oversee the foundation for our £1billion 30-year investment plan and decarbonisation programmes.
  • Manage surveying activities across South and West Devon, Cornwall, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Somerset, and Mid and North Devon.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation pertaining to housing management and the construction industry, including CDM.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and line management to your team.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with the surveying profession.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Professional qualification in Property Surveying (RICS, CIOB, CABE or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
  • Strong building surveying knowledge, including building diagnosis and fault-finding experience.
  • Experience with domestic dwellings from a technical perspective.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation in housing and construction.
  • Coaching, mentoring, or line management experience.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Experience within social housing is advantageous but not essential.
