Job Description:
Are you an experienced social worker with a strong commitment to safeguarding children and supporting families in urgent situations?
In this fast-paced role, you will respond to referrals, conduct assessments, and take necessary actions to protect children and provide immediate support to families in need.
Responsibilities:
- Responding promptly to referrals and conducting initial assessments to determine the level of risk and need.
- Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, external agencies, and community organizations to coordinate responses and interventions.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and family support.
- Providing clear communication and updates to all relevant stakeholders, including families, team members, and external partners.
- Participating in regular team meetings, supervision, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- Experience in a front-line social work role, particularly in child protection, safeguarding, or crisis intervention.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and family support.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of professionals and agencies to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
