Our client is a leader in automation integration and is looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their team. This role is ideal for a professional with a blend of electrical and mechanical engineering skills, ready to tackle challenges in designing and installing complete machines, robot cells, and bespoke solutions.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Wire control panels for automation systems and robotic applications.
  • Fabricate and assemble mechanical components and structures using drilling, grinding, and welding skills.
  • Create detailed CAD designs for mechanical components and/or electrical systems, with animation skills being a nice-to-have.
  • Identify and resolve electrical and mechanical issues, implementing troubleshooting techniques to minimise downtime.
  • Develop innovative solutions to engineering challenges and propose system improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing regular project updates and working on project timelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • HNC or above in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience is preferable.
  • Strong mechanical fabrication skills, including welding, grinding, and drilling.
  • Good understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Proficiency in PC skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Valid UK driving license and own reliable car.
  • Legally registered to live and work in the UK with a valid passport.

Personal Skills:

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good fault-finding skills and the ability to think outside the box.
  • Comfortable working on your own initiative and as part of a team, sometimes requiring travel within the UK and Europe.
