As an Assistant Accountant, you will gradually take on senior responsibilities, your progression will be rewarded with salary increments and title changes as you begin to take these senior responsibilities into your regular workload. As an Assistant Accountant you will be initially be involved in many month end tasks as you will be working with management, often shadowing their duties. You will be personally posting journals such as accruals and prepayments and completing reconciliations on the balance sheet. Your development will be dependant on your existing level of experience, if you have already gained experience in working on the P&L, or completing variance analysis this will help jump-start your journey and will see you progress quickly in this position.
Skills Required
- To have experience posting journals such as accruals and prepayments and to have completed reconciliations on both the bank and balance sheet.
- To have started your ACCA or CIMA qualification, and to have already passed some examinations in your chosen discipline.
- To be confident and charismatic, this role will see you interacting with a variety of individuals from different levels of seniority. It is key to be able to communicate in a clear and effective manner.
- To be ambitious and motivated. This role provides a brilliant level of progression but it can only be achieved by an individual who can complete their duties successfully.
