Application Compliance Manager Information Systems

Job Title: Application Compliance Manager (Information Systems)

Salary: Circa £65,000 depending on experience

Location: Stevenage, Bolton (We may be able to offer a relocation package for this role)

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 1-2 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

Reporting to the Head of UK Information Systems (IS), this role will support the Information Systems and wider departmental teams in ensuring our application portfolio is compliant to standards and audits including Cyber Essentials Plus, health checks and our accreditation. The IS application portfolio includes a wide range of applications across four distinct pillars: Business Management, Enterprise Services & Support, IS Engineering and IS Industrial.

Key activities will include:

  • Support the IS teams and service partners during their dedicated compliance activities.
  • Manage the portfolio of applications to ensure compliance in response to ongoing security notifications and support our teams to actively manage the lifecycle of our applications.
  • Represent UK IS for compliance activities for our Group applications which can be deployed across multiple national companies.
  • Manage the application-oriented remediation plans which could be the outcome of our compliance activities.
  • Work with our IS pillars to ensure that application compliance is being considered and planned for during application roadmap/lifecycle activities.
  • Work with our service partners to ensure their activities are covering our compliance obligations.

What we're looking for from you:

  • Broad knowledge of application architectures, tools and infrastructure technologies.
  • Supplier engagement and collaboration experience.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with security tools utilised for compliance e.g. Nessus, Qualys.
  • Knowledge of security standards e.g. Cyber Essentials Plus, NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR.
  • Help drive compliance maturity within the IS community.
