Our team at Hobbs Field (Adults Residential Service) focuses on providing the right balance of the individuality, needs, wishes and rights of each of our residents. We're looking for a Casual Support Worker to join our wonderful team.

Salary: £11.79 to £11.98 per hour (enhanced pay for weekend working & bank holidays)
Enhancements: Weekend working - Time & a half, Bank Holidays - Double time & Night enhancement (8pm - 10pm shifts)

**Working Pattern: Shifts on 4-week rotation (inclusive of evenings & weekends)
Contract Length: Permanent
Location: Hobbs Field, Horsham

About Hobbs Field

At Hobbs Field we seek to create a family home for all the people in our care. We have an established and experienced team, we are focused on a person-centred approach to our care and believe in empowering the people we support to have as much in-put in their care plans as possible. We have a lovely garden for all to enjoy. We love our barbecues outside in the garden during the summer and parties to celebrate special occasions such as the recent Coronation.

Key Skills(These will be used as the shortlisting criteria)

  • You are able to interpret information, such as service complaints, and redirect them to provide quick & accurate resolution.
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills
  • Ability to deal appropriately with expressive behaviour from the people we support, & respond sensitively to their families & carers.
  • Confident in building relationships with people from a wide variety of backgrounds.

Qualifications/ experience

  • Basic literacy & numeracy skills, to record & document activities in the provider plans.
  • Basic understanding of the needs of the people we support & their rights as an individual.
  • NVQ 2/Diploma in Care or equivalent qualification - Desirable
