We are happy to be recruiting for one of our high-profile public services clients. They are currently looking for an Employee Relations Partner to join them on a permanent basis.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Providing comprehensive advice on UK employment law to variety of stakeholders in HR, management, and leadership teams.
  • Efficient tribunal management including employment advocacy for a variety of cases. This role involves developing case management and defence strategies for tribunal claims, and will require attendance at preliminary hearings, and full merits hearings.
  • Providing advice and guidance on complex employment matters and related projects.
  • Able to manage TUPE processes and sensitive, and complex employment matters.
  • Monitoring trends in tribunal activity and employee relations. Report any opportunities, and achievements through data analysis.
  • Identifying emerging issues, and guiding the business towards practical, proactive solutions.
  • Liaising with external parties such as ACAS, unions, solicitors, and barristers during the tribunal case management process.
  • Partnering with a variety of internal stakeholders. This role serves as the link between the employee relations team, HR, and the customer on all employee relations activity.
  • Advise on settlement agreement terms and negotiate with employees' solicitors.

Skills, Experience & Technical Knowhow:

  • Solid experience in effective employment tribunal claim management.
  • Strong experience in a similar employee relations role and is CIPD qualified.
  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent in law or related field.
  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge of employment law.
  • Strong experience in partnering with a variety of stakeholders and being an effective team player.
  • Strong experience in providing practical and commercial advice on employment law.
  • Demonstrates policy and procedure development to ensure compliance with legislation.
  • Ability to make good judgement for complex, ambiguous, and sensitive employment matters.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work within a complex, fast paced, and challenging business environment.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, capable of building positive and collaborative relationships.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with the developments in UK employment law and ethical standards.

Location:

This is a permanent role, hybrid working 2 days a week on site at the clients Solihull office.

Working hours:

Monday to Friday standard office hours.
