Credit Controller - TEMP

Our client, based in Croydon is currently looking to recruit an experienced Credit Controller to join, what is a vibrant and busy accounts set up!

Due to the urgency of this position, our client is looking to recruit the individual on a temporary basis, therefore you must be available to start immediately.

The successful candidate will manage the Company's Credit Control and ensure timely collection of outstanding monies, escalation of the collection procedure and timely reporting to senior Management. Due to the nature of the business, the successful applicant will need to offer empathy, diligence and structure to their call - an aggressive credit control background is not required for this role!

Salary: £13.50 - £15.50 per hour

Hours: Full time - Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm

Start: ASAP - ongoing basis

Location: Croydon

Further responsibilities will include:

  • Managing credit control for all outstanding debts to maximise collection
  • Negotiating payment terms and liaising with debt collectors and issuing rebates
  • Handling customer enquiries, collecting payments and preparing monthly reports
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Maintain updated and accurate customer information at all times on Sage and Excel.
  • Sales & Purchase ledger posting and review using Sage 50
  • Provide monthly credit control reports to Head of Finance and Directors, attend meetings when requested
  • Ad hoc accounting tasks

Our client is looking for individuals who want to be a part of team, contribute accordingly, and offer longevity. Whilst Sage50 is used, if you have not used this, but other packages are a part of your day-to-day use, that will be considered upon the shortlisting process.

  • Credit Control and Accounting experience
  • Knowledge and experience of Sage 50
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to be proactive with customer care and problem solving
  • Attention to detail with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Working experience within a commercial SME accounts environment
  • Flexible team worker
  • Good IT skills
  • Organised and efficient worker
