An international manufacturing/engineering business in Frimley is looking for a Commercial Service Specialist with strong data science experience.
This this a hybrid position involving Big Data Analytics, Data Collection, some Financial Reporting, and User Support.
The Commercial Service Specialist will be developing and maintaining a functional, market-relevant, predictive tool for calculating the business' service contracts. In this role you'll be applying data mining techniques, completing statistical analysis and building high quality prediction systems.
The role will also involve:
- Reviewing the technical content of service manuals to be aware of the most accurate maintenance and repair data
- Guiding the developers in industrialising predictive model techniques
- Ensuring an efficient and highly functional tool to retrieve and register information on service
- Acting as a helpdesk for distribution partners with questions regarding the calculation of service costs
- Identifying and implementing improvements to the partner/customer experience
- Provide support to commercial teams and support department colleagues.
We're looking for:
- Degree level education, preferably in a Computer Science, Data Science, Decision Science, Business Administration discipline
- 3 + years' experience in a similar role involving relationship management plus hands on data-driven work
- Strong communication and teamworking abilities
- Good numerical skills
- Advanced Excel, and PowerBI
- Proficiency using query languages such as SQL, Hive
- Scripting and programming skills.
