A global manufacturing organisation producing and supplying specialist products in the engineering sector. They are highly innovative and ambitious, and committed to providing sustainable solutions. They are currently recruiting for a Buyer on a fixed term contract of 12 to 18 months. The role is based at the Worcester site and offers flexibility for some hybrid working.
Your new role
The Buyer will work in partnership with the planning and inventory teams to ensure the purchase order process is effectively managed. The Buyer will closely monitor levels and collaborate closely with suppliers to optimise stock levels, to avoid shortages and minimise excess and obsolete inventory. The Buyer will liaise with suppliers regarding supply issues and queries. Additionally, the Buyer will anticipate any supply chain issues such as delays and quality, and communicate to the operational teams.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will be a Purchasing Assistant or Buyer with experience of working within the manufacturing sector. Strong working knowledge of using MRPs and great attention to detail is essential. You will have excellent communication skills and be a great team-player.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary of £25,000 to £30,000 plus benefits. The role is a fixed-term contract for 12 to 18 months but may offer the opportunity for extension or a permanent contract. The organisation offers fantastic support, training and development.
