Job Title: Sheet Metal Fabricator

Location: Poole, Dorset

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: Up to £18 per hour

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team in Poole. The ideal candidate will have experience in fabricating metal components and a strong understanding of sheet metal processes. You will work with various materials and machinery to produce precise metal parts and assemblies that meet stringent quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Operate and maintain sheet metal fabrication equipment, including CNC machines, lasers, and brakes.
  • Cut, bend, and shape metal sheets according to specifications.
  • Perform welding and assembly tasks as required.
  • Ensure quality control by inspecting finished products for accuracy and defects.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and efficiencies.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Fabricator or similar role.
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and tools.
  • Experience with welding (MIG/TIG) and finishing processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in metal fabrication or engineering are a plus.
