Randstad Education is looking for a motivated and passionate History Teacher with Religious Education (RE) to our secondary school at Benfleet. You will be encouraging critical thinking, empathy, and a global perspective in addition to developing a profound understanding for religious studies and history in all of their classes.

This is a permanent role, and is starting as soon as possible.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching History and Religious Education- This is essential
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for both History and RE
  • Outstanding ability to engage kids of all abilities and manage the classroom
  • A dedication to upholding the ethos and values of the school
  • Resilience, adaptability, and a proactive teaching style

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality History and RE lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4 (potential for Key Stage 5 depending on experience)
  • Create, plan, and evaluate classes in accordance with the curriculum to guarantee that learners reach their maximum potential
  • Promote a welcoming, inclusive, and safe learning environment where each student can reach their full potential
  • Take part in departmental meetings, assist in developing curriculum, and pursue ongoing professional development
  • Have the passion to teach and to make a difference
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and share best practices
