We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated KS3 SEN Teacher to join our dynamic team.

Job Description:

As a KS3 SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, personalized education to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Your role will involve planning and implementing effective lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students, ensuring they achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and differentiated lessons for KS3 students with SEN.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SENCO and other staff.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively with the SENCO, support staff, and other teachers to ensure a cohesive approach to SEN provision.
  • Attend relevant training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in SEN education.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through participation in events, extracurricular activities, and staff meetings.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • A recognized SEN qualification or evidence of significant experience working with SEN students.
  • Proven experience teaching KS3 students, preferably within an SEN setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and SEN Code of Practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A proactive, patient, and flexible approach to teaching and learning.
