Accelerate Teaching is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for an experienced Humanities Teacher to join a vibrant and dynamic secondary school in Leeds. We are searching for a passionate educator who can inspire and engage students, helping them develop a deep understanding and appreciation of Humanities subjects.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated Teacher of Humanities who can deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of fostering a positive learning environment and will be committed to ensuring all students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in Humanities.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on the progress of students.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental schemes of work.
  • Participate in and contribute to the wider school community and extra-curricular activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Humanities or a related field.
  • Previous teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
