Quant Analyst - Crypto

For our client, a leading firm in the cryptocurrency space, we are looking for a skilled Data Analyst and Quantitative Trader to join their team. This role involves collecting, analyzing, and managing cryptocurrency market data to develop and execute trading strategies.

**Job Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection and Management:

  • Gather and organize cryptocurrency market data, including trading volume, prices, order book data, and on-chain data.

  • Maintain and update databases to ensure data accuracy and completeness.

  • Develop and manage data collection scripts and automation tools.

  • Data Analysis and Modeling:

  • Analyze market data using statistical and machine learning techniques to identify trends and patterns.

  • Build and optimize quantitative trading models, including price prediction, risk management, and arbitrage models.

  • Perform backtesting and simulations to assess the historical performance and potential returns of trading strategies.

  • Strategy Development and Execution:

  • Create and refine quantitative trading strategies, designing and implementing trading algorithms.

  • Monitor and adjust strategy performance to ensure effectiveness across varying market conditions.

  • Collaborate with the trading team to execute and optimize trading strategies in real-time.

  • Risk Management and Monitoring:

  • Evaluate and manage risks associated with cryptocurrency trading, and develop risk control measures.

  • Monitor market conditions and strategy performance in real-time, addressing abnormal fluctuations and risk events promptly.

  • Implement stop-loss, take-profit, and risk limit strategies.

  • Technical Research and Innovation:

  • Stay updated on advancements in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, researching emerging markets and financial products.

  • Explore and apply new technologies, such as deep learning and blockchain analysis, to enhance analytical and trading processes.

  • Engage in technical discussions and continuously improve professional skills.

  • Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare analysis and strategy reports, updating management and teams on progress and results.

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as IT and risk management, to ensure cohesive operations.

  • Conduct regular market reviews and strategy evaluations, suggesting improvements as needed.

  • Compliance and Regulation:

  • Ensure all trading activities and operations adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor changes in industry regulations, adjusting strategies and operations to maintain compliance.

**Qualifications:

  • Education: Advanced academic background in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or Computer Science from a top university.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience in data analysis or quantitative trading.
  • Skills: Proficiency in data processing tools such as Python, R, and Excel. Familiarity with major cryptocurrency exchange APIs.
  • Expertise: Experience in linear arbitrage or quantitative research/trading is preferred.
  • Interest: Strong interest in web3.0 and cryptocurrency markets, with a good understanding of cryptocurrency trading and risk management.
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, diligent, and capable of working effectively under pressure, demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism.
