Established in 1970, the group's main activities are centred around transport and logistics, truck sales and aftersales support, trailer manufacturing and spare parts sales, transport industry services, construction equipment sales, and property rental and development.
You will be responsible for driving the operation forward through this exciting time of expansion.
The successful candidate will be a natural leader with the ability to galvanize a team to work towards a common goal of delivering set targets. You will be focused on executing a customer experience of the highest standard, to a wide-ranging book of corporate customers, both locally and nationally. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the business, taking full responsibility of the day-to-day operations and profitability of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing all business activities
- Developing and implementing effective strategies for all areas of the operations you lead
- Leading and coaching managers, supervisors, and operational staff.
- Being responsible for the P&L and budgets you manage.
- Customer focused, retaining, and developing with the current customers.
- Developing and deploying continuous improvement plans for your operations.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Deliver year on year growth of both revenue and profitability through the driving of utilisation.
- Develop a team capable of working efficiently in a pressured environment
- Taking ownership of the full customer experience
- Experience of successful change management
- Proven track record of hiring, and training individuals to become successful teams.
- Be confident in developing continuous improvement plans and increasing profit margins.
- Excellent analytical, organisation and communication skills.
- Experience within management of a vehicle rental business
