If you are an experienced Bookkeeper that has a proven background at a firm of accountants this is a great opportunity to join somewhere and really make your mark.

The firm has been established for over 25 years; and pride themselves on the quality of their work and being able to help advise their clients to get more from their accounts.

This isn't a firm where its about churning out sets of accounts; it's a firm built around strong relationships with their clients; getting to know them on a personal level and working alongside them to deliver whatever they need.

The firm has a really loyal team; and this role has only become available because they have expanded and identified an opportunity to have a dedicated Bookkeeper within the firm.

This means for anyone joining you won't be stuck having to work in 'the way they have always done it" you will be free to introduce your own ideas, processes and basically shape the role around how you like to work.

Day to day the role will involve a wide range of tasks including:

  • Managing all aspects of clients Bookkeeping
  • Working with a diverse portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
  • Controlling client ledgers
  • Reconcile the ledgers on a monthly basis
  • Handling any accounting queries
  • Working in partnership to help clients understand their finances better
  • Using software including Xero, Quickbooks and Sage

You will be joining a really close-knit team, there will be plenty of people around you to support and help; and a senior leadership team that firmly believe that looking after their staff should be their number one priority.

There will be no pressure, unnecessary deadlines or targets in place - the only thing that is expected is you show up...care...and take pride in what you do.

To be considered you must have UK experience working at a firm of chartered accountants as a Bookkeeper (or in a mixed role where you have a solid understanding of Bookkeeping), you must have strong communication skills and be looking for a business where you can say (not just a stepping stone).
