We are seeking a Conveyancing Support Assistant to join our Residential Property team. The ideal candidate will provide competent and efficient support to ensure the smooth daily running of a busy department. This role is perfect for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage a changing workload while maintaining client confidentiality.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Preparing and sending out quotes and following up to convert or obtain feedback.
  • Opening new files and preparing contract packs for sales under supervision.
  • Preparing completion statements and completing SDLT returns through case management software, following training.
  • Dealing with registration at HMLR and reviewing completed registration title documents.
  • Reporting to clients and lenders following the completion of registration.
  • Updating clients, estate agents, and other solicitors on the progress of transactions.
  • Managing incoming post, tying it up with client files, liaising with fee earners to determine required tasks, dealing with queries, and agreeing on actions.
  • Performing any other duties as may be reasonably requested from time to time.

  • Flexible and able to prioritise a changing to-do list.
  • Detail-oriented and accurate with a focus on quality.
  • Trustworthy, reliable, and able to maintain client confidentiality.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Proactive in asking questions and seeking help when necessary.
