Production Engineer

The Recruitment Co have an exciting opportunity, to work for one of the leading global developers of premium cleaning, sanitizing and maintenance products.
They are seeking a Production Engineer for their Supply Chain team at their Andover site.

The Role:

  • Process / Engineering / TPM - Provide first line support to all areas of Supply Chain and Customer Services
  • Check and approve Design and Assembly drawings.
  • Translate design information from drawings into SAP Material Master Data, Bills of Materials and Routings.
  • Prepare assembly instruction documents detailing the production process from

design drawings and initial production builds.

  • Lead resolution of technical issues, material, tooling, instructions to all Production

and Warehouse areas.

  • Review and support all NPI and provide updates and progress to the wider project

team to ensure expected targets are met.

  • Support the Reliability team with their Facilities activities here on site. This includes issue resolution and updating site layouts/P&ID's (on AutoCAD or equivalent).
  • Safety - Think safe, work safe, initiate safe
  • Promote and lead by example on all aspects of safety.
  • Risk assess and review safety in all SOPs, projects and day to day support of the

plant.

  • Support the plant manager on Safety projects and initiatives within the organization.

Position Details:
Plant location: Andover
Working week: 08:30-17:00 Monday-Thursday, 08:30- 15:45 Friday

Minimum Qualifications/Skills:

  • At least 3 years' experience in Production, process, industrial engineering function.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems including, BOM's, Routings, Master data.
  • An in-depth knowledge of TPM / Lean principles and the analysis of production processes (kaizen) and has come from a TPM / Lean embedded company.
  • Good understanding of NPI and gated processes.
  • Good understanding of managing projects and project teams across multiple disciplines.
  • Able to compile shop floor process instructions and safe working procedures.
  • Able to work under his/her own initiative.
  • High standard of numeracy and literacy.
  • Ability & willingness to be flexible with working hours/ shift at short notice.
  • Communicating and presenting data effectively.
  • Proficiencies
  • Essential: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Experience using ERP/MRP systems
  • Preferred: SAP, DDM (Design Data Manager), eQMS and AutoCAD.
  • Experience in CAPA and route cause analysis.
  • It is essential within this role to have an eagerness to take on new skills and experiences, and to learn quickly.
  • World Class manufacturing and TPM experience
  • NVQ level 4, HNC or equivalent in Electro mechanical engineering.

This is initially a 6 month temporary role, however this may get extended beyond this.

The hourly pay rate will be £20.50 - £25.64 depending on experience.
