JHE & Partners are delighted to be working with a highly regarded and leading business in Wakefield as they look to recruit a Credit Controller on a permanent basis. You will be joining the company at a busy period as they continue to grow. You will be reporting into the Finance Director who fully supports and invest in their staff.
You will be responsible for managing the company's credit accounts whilst making sure payments for invoices are paid in a timely manner. You must also ensure that aged debtor is reduced whilst maintaining positive cash flow.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- 2+ years working in credit control
- Chasing invoices to ensure payments are on time
- Maximize cash collections
- Utilise automated systems and reminders to streamline the chasing process
- Set and monitor credit limits for new and existing customers.
- Maintain and update customer credit files with relevant information
- Liaise with debt collection agencies and legal representatives where necessary.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues
- Negotiate repayment plans and handle disputes regarding unpaid invoices.
- Implement and manage debt collection processes
- CICM is a plus
Duties and type of person include:
