Role: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £46,000 to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus opportunities for further increases and progression, plus benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday, 3 shift rotation (earlies, lates and nights) - early finishes on Friday's!
Location: Commutable from Reading, Basingstoke, Andover, Newbury, Thatcham, Swindon and surrounding areas

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to work within a large factory, supporting maintenance of their fast-moving production machinery. They have a stable work force with great retention, some as long as 40 years, and need someone who is a good team player and enjoys turning their hands to mechanical duties. The role would suit someone who is mechanically trained looking to work within a great team and company.
Responsibilities
Working in a team of between 2 Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineers on-shift, you will be tasked to support the production machinery including reactive, trouble-shooting and repair tasks, planned preventative maintenance, projects, new installations and refurbishments. So it is varied and enjoyable.
Requirements
- Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship in either mechanical or Multi Skilled Engineering
- Background and experience in maintenance or service work or similar environment, manufacturing or industrial
- Mechanical Maintenance OR Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer background
- Have ANY of the following mechanical experience; conveyors, packaging, bearings, belts, 3 phase, motors, sensors, inverters, relays, contactors, 3 phase, pneumatics, hydraulics, belts, bearings, chains, gears, pumps etc. - any experience of these will be considered
- Friendly and adaptable working attitude
- Proactive work attitude and keen to get your hands dirty
