Cover Teacher
Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time Cover Teacher to work at an excellent partnership school near Goole/Selby This is a temporary position to start 2nd September 2024 and will last until October 30th in the first instance. This is a role to cover a period of sickness so there is the potential for this role to increase in duration. Payment for this position will be between £130 and £150 per day depending on experience and qualifications.
This role will involve covering lots of different lessons across the school, and this will vary on a day to day basis. You may be covering for periods of sickness absence, meetings, trips or a variety of different reasons. You will be expected to manage behaviour effectively and promote progress and positive outcomes. If you have a particular specialism you will be placed on that subject as much as possible. No planning and marking will be expected for this position, and you will be delivering pre-planned work.
This school is located in the Goole/Selby area and has a large onsite car park for those candidates that do drive. It is available via train for candidates who do not have a car but are commuting from Hull or York. This is in a great location from candidates that live in the West Hull villages, in Goole/Selby itself or the surrounding areas, and is very easily accessible from York. The school is part of an academy trust that has schools in the surrounding areas, so this could be a good opportunity to gain more placements in the future.
Tradewind will also support your development during your placement and beyond through our fantastic CPD via The National College. You will be put onto all of the same CPD as permanent staff members, and encouraged to grow.

- Hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
- Have experience working within schools in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
- CV must cover the full CV History
- Legal right to work in the UK
