Rotating shifts – Days, Afternoons, Nights (Monday–Friday and Sunday–Thursday)

Salary:

Competitive + Shift Allowance + On-Call Payment

On-Call:

1 in 4 weekends (Friday 10pm – Sunday 10pm)

About the Role

You'll be responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance of site equipment through planned preventative maintenance (PPM), fault diagnosis, and reactive repairs. Working closely with production teams, you'll help ensure operational performance is consistently delivered at the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver all maintenance activity in line with site safety, health, and environmental practices

Perform planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems

Fault-find on PLCs, SCADA, DCS and HMIs

Conduct instrument calibrations and maintain accurate records via the CMMS

Review contractor RAMS and issue permits to work as required

Support site operations by maintaining optimal equipment performance

Participate in continuous improvement activities

Maintain facilities in a clean, tidy, and safe condition

Provide engineering support across a multi-shift rota and be available for on-call duties

Candidate Profile

We're looking for someone who is:

? Apprentice-trained with Multiskilled Mechanical and/or Electrical experience

? Experienced in the food industry or working with hygienic equipment

? Familiar with CMMS, PPM, and predictive maintenance practices

? Skilled in fault-finding on PLCs/DCS/SCADA systems

? Comfortable reviewing RAMS and managing external contractors (desirable)

? Strong in planning, prioritisation, and problem-solving

? A great communicator and team player

Qualifications

City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Essential)

HNC / HND (Desirable)

17th or 18th Edition (Desirable)

IOSH / NEBOSH safety qualifications (Desirable)

CompEx (EX01-EX06) and ETP/CHP experience (Desirable)
