School HR Officer
- Salary: £15-£16 per hour

- Job Type: Flexible (Full-time/Part-time, Term-time options available)
- Contract: Temporary with the view to transition to a fixed-term contract for 1 year
We are looking for a dedicated School HR Officer to join our client, covering maternity leave. This role offers flexibility in hours and the option to work term-time only. The position is set to start in late August and is initially temporary, with the potential to transition to a fixed-term contract. The ideal candidate will have experience in HR and employee relations, preferably within an educational environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage recruitment administration, onboarding, and compliance support.
- Co-monitor the recruitment and HR inbox, responding to employee queries relating to absence, sickness, and other HR matters.
- Book and record staff training, assisting with the induction of new staff.
- Complete risk assessments and assist with HR projects.
- Review HR Policies and contribute to staff meetings with a focus on safeguarding.
- The role is office-based, requiring a hands-on approach to support the school's HR functions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- CIPD Level 3 is desirable but not essential.
- Proven work experience within HR, with a focus on employee relations.
- Experience within an educational environment is advantageous.
- Familiarity with the employee life cycle, including recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with a variety of stakeholders.
