Client Technology Analyst - London based role

Akkodis are partnering with a highly reputable client within the Financial Services sector on the continued expansion of their IT department.

We are looking for a Client Technology Analyst who will be part of a global engineering team engaged in third line client-side support, problem diagnosis and change - providing advice and expertise to IT and the business, reporting to the Head of Client Technology in London.
The analyst will work within the IT Infrastructure organization using technology management tools to ensure the infrastructure environment provides a reliable and secure platform that is fit for business purpose.

Duties and responsibilities

You will:

  • Assist with the delivery of the Windows 11 cloud transformation and Microsoft 365 Copilot projects
  • Provide client-side 3rd line BAU technical support and consultancy to the business (EUC)
  • Participate in the monthly patching rota, requiring weekend work
  • Deliver appropriate change into the Production environment, ensuring Information Security policies and best practice are adhered to at all times
  • Work closely with the rest of the IT infrastructure team to ensure a consistent, standardised global environment
  • Be responsible for maintaining a variety of desktop management systems
  • Provide guidance and training to regional first- and second-line Service Desk support teams
  • Identify areas for improvement and propose solutions, constantly seeking to enhance processes and the general environment
  • Ensure the desktop environment runs efficiently and securely
  • Will potentially require occasional out of hours work including bank holidays and weekends

Technical skills and qualifications

  • Extensive experience working in a multi-forest Active Directory environment, including EntraID federation
  • Client technologies: Windows 11, modern browser management, Microsoft 365 Desktop Apps and OneDrive
  • *Microsoft 365 Copilot
  • *Microsoft Intune - Autopilot, Co-Management, Config Profiles
  • *Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager - Software Updates, OSD
  • PowerShell - Minimum level: Advanced
  • Group Policy Management - Policy design and troubleshooting
  • Capable of troubleshooting SSL VPN issues, e.g. Palo Alto Global Protect
  • Microsoft BitLocker for OS Drive encryption
  • Microsoft Server technologies: Certificate Services, IIS
  • Citrix XenApp 7.x - Advanced troubleshooting of seamless app delivery

  • Self-motivated with the ability to learn 'on the fly'
  • A good communicator who can discuss technical subjects in layman terms
  • Must have experience of high pressure, large scale, and complex system environments
  • Investment management experience not essential

This is an initial 6 month contract opportunity with a very high possibility for multiple extensions. The role is based 3 days a week on site in London (near Liverpool Street, Shoreditch and Moorgate).The role has been deemed inside of IR35.
