What's the role and what are we looking for?
Due to an internal move we are looking for a Production Operative who will work nights, 39 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday morning (times below inclusive of shift handover).
- Sunday 22:45 – 06:00
- Monday – Wednesday 21:45 - 06:00.
We offer a competitive salary with a shift premium of 35% for permanent nights. There is an additional payment for shift hand overs.
Your responsibilities as a Production Operative will include running our production processes efficiently, ensuring safety, quality, quantity, cost, and time all meet operational standards, reducing waste and down time and supporting the development and improvement of all production processes.
Essential skills and experience you will have:
- Experience of working within a fast paced production environment
- A sound understanding of Health and Safety practices
- A methodical approach to product quality and machinery care
- Good communication skills are essential
- Be a good team player with a "Can do attitude"
- To be familiar with reporting tools such as Microsoft Office and have the capability to operate machinery using touch screen panels (HMI)
- Strong at fault finding and problem solving
Whilst not essential, the following would be of benefit:
- Analytical and mechanical capabilities are advantageous but not essential in order to identify issues within the production process.
- SAP knowledge would be beneficial.
