Finance Assistant (Part-Time, 20 hours per week)

Our client, a dynamic and growing organisation based in Stevenage, is seeking a part-time Finance Assistant to join their team. This is a part-time role, with 20 hours per week, ideally spread across 5 mornings. The successful candidate will be based locally and able to come into the office on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the businesses accounting system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Reconcile bank statements to address discrepancies.
  • Maintain accounts receivable and payable, handling timely invoicing and payments.
  • Process client payments, including credit card transactions and bank transfers.
  • Resolve supplier queries promptly and effectively.
  • Produce detailed financial reports for management.

Requirements:

  • Relevant financial or administrative experience.
  • Competent with computer systems and software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic, customer-oriented, and well-organised.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
