Position: Child Protection Minute Taker
Location: Croydon, London
Contract Type: Temporary (6 months)
Hourly Rate: £19.75 per hour PAYE or £26.03 per hour Umbrella
Working Pattern: Full Time
Will need to be in the office every day for the first two weeks to shadow colleagues in CP meetings, after that hybrid around the needs of the service. The expectation is to be in the office for Initial Child Protection Conferences; Review Conferences are mainly online, which can be done remotely

Key Responsibilities:

  • Arrange and facilitate Review Child Protection Conferences (RCPCs) in line with established processes.
  • Collate and upload professional reports to the Children's Reporting System (CRS) within set timelines.
  • Circulate decisions and minutes to the professional network, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Work closely with the Child Protection Process, addressing dissent during conferences.
  • Add comprehensive case notes to CRS to maintain detailed records.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with various stakeholders, ensuring a resident-focused approach.

What We're Looking For:
To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • Knowledge of Children's Social Care and Early Help contexts.
  • A strong understanding of confidentiality and cultural diversity.
  • Proficiency in administrative, clerical, and ICT systems.
  • Experience in high-pressure environments and attending complex meetings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyse key information and produce high-quality minutes promptly.
  • Familiarity with databases, including EHM and CRS.

Working Environment:

  • Our Croydon office is conveniently located just 11 minutes from East Croydon train station and 5 minutes from George Street tram station.
  • You'll be in the office daily for the first two weeks to shadow colleagues, with opportunities for hybrid working thereafter.
