About The Job:
As a Production Operative, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring the preparation and finishing of fabricated products. Your attention to detail and ability to follow engineering drawings will be essential in kitting fabrication parts accurately. With your expertise in using powered hand tools, you will perform grinding, deburring, and fettling operations to meet quality standards. Additionally, you will contribute to the cleanliness and maintenance of the work area, adhering to safety rules and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Use powered hand tools for grinding, deburring, and fettling
- Kit fabrication parts using engineering drawings
- Utilise steam cleaner/jet wash to wash down large fabricated products
- Demonstrate self-motivation and contribute effectively to a team environment
- Carry out all work efficiently and accurately, following instructions and documentation provided
- Comply with quality assurance and quality control procedures
- Ensure adherence to the organisation's safety rules and procedures
- Maintain tools, plant, and machinery in good serviceable condition
- Keep a clean and tidy work area
- Perform other duties as reasonably allocated from time to time
