Maintenance Planner

Maintenance Planner required to join a well-established manufacturing employer based in Leicestershire. This is a permanent full-time salaried role, which is office based working Monday to Friday offering an excellent salary,Starting at £40,000 plus an employee benefits package to include enhanced holiday entitlement, workplace pension, life assurance, and retail discounts following a successful probationary period.

This busy and varied maintenance planning role seeks an organised and methodical team player who can work within an established engineering department reporting to the engineering manager whilst working in collaboration with site maintenance engineers. Your experience will demonstrate 3 -5 years of previous relevant knowledge gained within an engineering or site maintenance planning position. Key responsibilities will include, creating daily maintenance schedules, planning and communicating maintenance activities for the engineering team, whilst completing accurate and timely work requests on the CMMS System.

As a Maintenance Planner, additional tasks and duties will include the documentation of remedial maintenance works ensuring that post-maintenance checks have been approved and signed off by the Engineering Manager throughout the process. Your previous experience will evidence a strong adherence to Health and Safety working practices within a manufacturing environment, producing risk assessments and permits to work paperwork and systems management.

There is a need to ensure satisfactory maintenance of good housekeeping standards within the engineering workshops and stores department, liaising with the purchasing team to ensure inventory stock levels match budgetary requirements. Naturally, you will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with previous supplier management experience, obtaining quotes and prices of stock to progress all maintenance works. You will have advanced working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint). If you have previous knowledge working with OEM service interventions this would be a distinct advantage.
