Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging chemistry lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Create and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback and support.
  • Prepare and implement practical experiments and demonstrations.
  • Manage classroom resources and laboratory equipment.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met during practical sessions.
  • Support and guide pupil's in exam preparation and coursework.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events.

  • Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
  • Strong classroom management
  • Motivated and enthusiastic demeanour
  • Be an inspiring and engaging communicator
  • Use imagination and innovation to enhance learning experience

Personal attributes:

  • You will have a genuine passion for teaching
  • Experience up to key stage 3/4
  • QTS/PGCE equivalent
  • Be flexible and committed
