Hours: 40 hours per week (8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday)

Salary: £45,000 per annum

Job Description:

We are seeking a hands-on and dynamic Production Manager to lead a team of 7 production operators at our facility in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. In this role, you will be responsible for managing 7 delegates in our manufacturing department. Your primary focus will be to ensure that manufacturing, filling, and bulk loading schedules are met in a safe and timely manner, meeting customer demand and On-Time In-Full (OTIF) requirements.

We welcome candidates from all manufacturing backgrounds, provided you have experience managing the production of a physical product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all operational activities, ensuring compliance with cost, quality, time, safety, and integrity standards.
  • Ensure plant operations meet Local, Country, Business, Global, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency (MHRA), and HSSE legislation, policy, and standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance for wire rope, petroleum jelly, and rust prevention operations.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional departments.
  • Embed Right First Time (RFT) behaviours in production and drive Continuous Improvement (CI) to adopt best LEAN manufacturing practices.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the facility.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Process Operations, manufacture or equivalent experience (preferred).
  • Proven experience in production operations, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills with a high level of HSE awareness.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and SAP is advantageous but not essential.
