Head of Finance (Fixed-Term Contract 18 months)

Manchester/Hybrid role (2-3 days in office per week)

£45,585 - £61,198 per annum

Prestigious education setting is seeking an experienced Qualified Head of Finance to join the team on a fixed-term basis.

As the Head of Finance, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes in addition to compliance and control across their worldwide subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and advise on the development of new programmes from concept to delivery, working with the Senior Leadership Team, the international centres, Heads of Finance
  • Development of relationships with internal stakeholders, including the international centres, faculties and schools and with potential external partnerships
  • To provide advice and guidance to colleagues, on financial modelling
  • Document and manage the multi- currency, multi programme pricing strategy across online, blended and transnational programmes
  • Actively work with the Head of Development, Director of International Development and international Centre Directors to develop financial awareness and understanding and
  • of the drivers of the business performance to develop strategic financial models and business plans
  • Assist in the training and advice to Development colleagues in all aspects of financial procedures and Internal Audit consortium in developing and improving systems and procedures.
  • Work in partnership with the Deputy Director of Finance in ensuring regulatory financial compliance in the UK and internationally to external bodies.
  • Co-ordinate review of internal controls within the international centres, ensuring best practice and objectives are met and risks are identified.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent
  • Educated to degree level with evidence of professional development
  • Proven experience in a higher education setting in the UK and internationally desirable
  • Proven experience working with complex international financial process and multiple currencies
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to produce meaningful financial reporting and management information in an easy-to-understand format
  • Ability to manage projects and operations within budget
  • Experience leading and developing teams
  • Available immediately to start and can commit to a long-term fixed term contract
